Terms & Conditions
Agreement, orders and lessons

Missing Reflections is operated by Missing Reflections LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("Missing Reflections," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of www.missingreflections.com and everything you buy from us: digital sound packs and Ableton Live devices, physical merch, and sound design lessons. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site.
Who can buy. You need to be at least 18, or have permission from a parent or guardian, and you need to be able to enter a binding contract where you live.
Your account. If you create an account, keep your login details to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at info@missingreflections.com if you think someone else is using it.
Orders and payment. Prices are in US dollars and don't include taxes or shipping unless we say so. We can change prices, run sales, and add or retire products at any time. Placing an order is an offer to buy, and we can decline or cancel any order, including for pricing errors, suspected fraud, or stock issues. If we cancel an order you already paid for, you get a full refund.
Digital delivery. Digital products are delivered as downloads once payment clears. Download links can expire, so grab your files and back them up. Check the requirements on the product page before you buy so you know it will run on your setup.
Lessons and bookings. Sound design lessons are booked through the site and paid in full before the session starts. We don't run a session until payment has cleared. Reschedule or cancel at least 48 hours before your session and we will move it or refund you. Inside 48 hours, or if you do not show, the session is used up and isn't refunded. If we have to cancel, you get a reschedule or a full refund, your call.

Your license to use our sounds
This is the part that matters most if you make music with our packs, so we've kept it plain.
What you get. When you buy a Missing Reflections digital product, we grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the sounds, samples, presets, racks, and devices in it. One license covers one person. If you're buying for a studio or a team, get in touch and we'll sort out a license that fits.
What you can do. Use the sounds in your own music, commercial or not. Release those tracks anywhere: streaming, vinyl, sync, film, games, ads, live performance. Keep 100% of your royalties. You don't owe us a credit, though we'll never turn one down. Modify, chop, layer, resample, and process the material however you like.
What you can't do. Don't redistribute, resell, share, upload, or give away the files themselves, modified or not. Don't include our sounds in another sample pack, preset pack, sound library, construction kit, or device rack that you sell or give away. Don't use the material to train a machine learning or AI model. Don't register our sounds, on their own or as a loop inside a track, with a content ID system, rights database, or PRO in a way that claims ownership of the source material. Don't present our sounds as your own original library.
The short version: the music you make is yours, the sounds themselves stay ours.
We keep ownership. We own everything in our products and on this site: audio, artwork, logos, code, text, and the Missing Reflections and SayWhat?! names. This license does not transfer ownership of any of it.
If you break this license. We can terminate it. If we do, stop using the material and delete your copies. Tracks you already released in good faith while the license was in force stay covered.
The legal bits
Acceptable use. Don't scrape the site, break into it, overload it, or use it to do anything illegal. Don't upload anything malicious, and don't send us anything through our forms that's abusive, deceptive, or infringes someone else's rights.
Third party services. This site runs on Wix and uses third party payment processors. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms.
No warranty. The site and everything on it is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't promise the site will be uninterrupted or error free, or that our products will work with every setup or meet every expectation. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, Missing Reflections LLC and its members are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost revenue, arising from the site or our products. Our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Changes to these terms. We can update these terms. The version posted here is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, that's your acceptance.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and we both agree to that jurisdiction.
Severability. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
