What we collect and why

Missing Reflections LLC ("we," "us," "our") runs www.missingreflections.com. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. Plain language, no games.

What you give us. When you buy something, contact us, book a lesson, or sign up for emails, we collect your name, email address, shipping address, and order details. Payment card details go straight to our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

What we collect automatically. Like most sites, we pick up basic technical data: IP address, browser and device type, which pages you viewed, and the site that referred you.

Why we use it. To process and ship your orders, deliver your downloads, run your bookings, answer your messages, prevent fraud, understand how the site gets used, and, if you've opted in, send you email.

Who we share it with. Only the service providers who help us operate: Wix for hosting, the store, bookings and email marketing; our payment processors; and our shipping carriers. They get only what they need to do their job. We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
Email, marketing and opting out
How you get on the list. We only send marketing email to people who ask for it. You join by checking the subscribe box at checkout, signing up through a form on the site, or telling us directly. We don't buy lists, and we don't add you just because you bought something or sent us a message.

What we send. New releases, product drops, discount codes, and occasional news from the project. We send it through Wix Email Marketing.

Opting out, any time, no hassle. Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you're off the list, no questions asked and no reason needed. You can also email info@missingreflections.com with "unsubscribe" in the subject and we'll take you off by hand. It costs you nothing to opt out, we won't treat you any differently for doing it, and we won't email you again unless you sign back up.

What opting out doesn't stop. You'll still get transactional email tied to things you actually did: order confirmations, download links, shipping notices, booking confirmations and reminders, and replies to messages you sent us. Those aren't marketing, so they keep coming while you have an active order or booking.

Cookies and tracking. Our site runs on Wix, which sets cookies for essential functions like keeping items in your cart and keeping you signed in, and for basic analytics. You can control cookies in your browser settings, though switching off essential ones will break parts of the store.
Your choices and your rights
Your data rights. Email info@missingreflections.com and we'll help you see the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it's wrong, delete it, or get a copy of it. Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, the EU and the UK, you may have additional rights such as opting out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We don't sell your personal information, and we won't treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

How long we keep things. Order and tax records for as long as the law requires. Marketing contacts until you unsubscribe. Everything else only as long as we actually need it.

Security. We use Wix's secured infrastructure and encrypted connections. No system is perfect, so we can't promise absolute security, but we take it seriously and we'll tell you promptly if something goes wrong that affects your data.

Kids. This site isn't intended for children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy. If we update it, we'll change the date at the top. Material changes get announced on the site.
